Our private family space
The Thomas Njaya Family app preserves approved family relationships, biographies, photographs, memories, documents and property records for family use. Registration and access are controlled by family administrators.
Information collected
Depending on what a member chooses to provide, the app may process names, email addresses, dates and places of birth, family relationships, biographies, photographs, identity references, contact details, uploaded documents and property information.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate members, verify family connections, maintain the family tree, preserve family history, administer access, produce authorised exports and protect the service from misuse.
Private and sensitive records
National ID, passport, contact and private property information is restricted to authorised administrators and is excluded from ordinary family-tree views and printable heritage exports. Passwords are stored as one-way password hashes.
Sharing and disclosure
The app does not sell family information. Records are shared only according to their selected family, administrator or private visibility level, or when required to operate and secure the service.
Storage and retention
Records are retained while they serve the family archive or until an authorised deletion request is completed. Some audit information may be retained when necessary to preserve family-record integrity and security.
Your choices
Members can ask a family administrator to correct records, adjust visibility, export eligible information or remove an account. Account deletion can be requested from inside the application or from the public deletion page.
Children’s records
A parent, guardian or authorised family administrator should submit and manage information relating to a child. Administrators must consider the child’s privacy when approving visibility.
Security
The service uses secure connections, controlled account approval, session protection, access checks and protected storage. No system can guarantee absolute security, so members should use unique passwords and report suspected misuse promptly.
